<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tightening belt put around the sleeve opening part of a garment to surely prevent permeation of water through the sleeve opening part. <P>SOLUTION: The tightening belt of claim 1 is put around the sleeve opening part of a garment and includes a waterproof projection part extending in a longitudinal direction inside thereof. In the tightening belt of claim 2, the projection part is made of material harder than that forming the sleeve opening part in the belt described in claim 1. In the tightening belt of claim 3, a plurality of the projection parts are placed in lines in either belt described in claim 1 or claim 2.
