PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin type lithium battery in which pulse discharge performance is enhanced while securing characteristics of the bobbin type lithium battery that it has a high power generation energy density and is superior in a long-term storage performance. SOLUTION: The bobbin type lithium battery (1a, 1b) is provided with an outer positive electrode mixture I (121a, 121b) which is formed in a hollow tube shape in a bottomed tube-shape positive electrode can 11, an inner positive electrode mixture (221a, 221b) which is arranged so as to contact the wall face of the hollow tube of the outer positive electrode mixture (121a, 121b), and a negative electrode lithium (22a, 22b) which is arranged in the space other than the occupying region of the inner positive electrode mixture through a separator (23a, 23b) in the tube of the outer positive electrode mixture.
