PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of expanding a viewing opportunity in a fringe area by eliminating interruption of viewing over a long time when receiving digital broadcasting with a digital signature and verifying the normality of received data. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver includes a broadcast receiving part 16 for receiving digital broadcasting, a demultiplexer 17 for performing an output based on a stream of the received digital broadcasting, a digital certificate storing part 25 for storing a prescribed condition for guaranteeing the normality of the stream, a signature verification processing part 23 for verifying the normality of the stream based on an electronic signal inserted into the stream, and reverifying the normality of the stream on the basis of the condition stored in the digital certificate storing part 25 when failing in verifying the normality of the stream, and a control part 27 for performing an output from the demultiplexer 17 on the basis of the stream when the normality of the stream is guaranteed.
