PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine with an oil level gauge can inhibiting formation of rust. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 10 includes a through-hole 22 providing communication between an inside and an outside thereof, a support pipe 23 attached to the through-hole 22 to make an end part at a vehicle upper side open toward the outside of the internal combustion engine 10, a guide pipe 21 having one end inserted and fixed on the support pipe 23, and an O-ring 24 sealing a part between the support pipe 23 and the guide pipe 21. The oil level gauge 20 is fixed by being inserted in the guide pipe 21. A communication port 26 providing communication between an inside and an outside of the support pipe 23 is formed at a position at the vehicle upper side of a contact part of the O-ring 24 and the support pipe 23.
