PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnosis device for an accumulator type fuel injection device capable of accurately diagnosing abnormality of the accumulator type fuel supply device in spite of a simple and low cost structure. SOLUTION: Fuel pressure Pc in a common rail 4 is detected by a common rail pressure sensor 9 and it is determined whether Pc is not lower than prescribed pressure or not, in S1. If the determination is Yes, the process proceeds to S2, count by a timer is started and the device waits until prescribed time elapses. Fuel pressure Pc in the common rail 4 is detected and is set to Pe in S3. Pe and a criterion value (abnormality criterion value) is compared in S4. If Pe is less than the prescribed criterion value, the process proceeds to S5 to make abnormal determination.
