<p>A route-bus fare payment system enabling a customer of a route bus to pay the fare in just proportion when the customer rides and gets off the route bus in unfixed given spots not limited to specific spots such as bus stops along the travel route of the route bus. The system comprises a ride registering means for specifying a customer when the customer rides a route bus by reading customer information or biometric information about the customer stored in a contactless IC module (15) or issuing an IC numbered ticket and read by a card reader and registering the ride spot acquired by a receiver of the GPS (16) in a recording medium (14), a get-off registering means for acquiring the specified-customer information and the coordinates of the get-off spot from the GPS receiver when the customer gets off the route bus, a distance calculating means for calculating the traveled distance from the ride spot to the get-off spot along the travel route, and a fare calculating means for calculating the fare from the traveled distance, creating charge information and storing the charge information in a storage medium (14).</p> |
