The cap (1) has a holder, where the cap holds ends (4) of lines (5) e.g. pneumatic lines, and is provided on one of the ends. The ends are attached at the cap via a positive connection e.g. force fit connection or snap fitting connection of the lines in the cap, where one of the ends is movably inserted into the holder in a longitudinal direction. The ends of the lines are inserted into the cap through an open side (2). The lines are made of plastic and/or metal. The lines are movable in longitudinal direction and are held in the cap. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a mounting arrangement for mounting a set of lines in a body shell of a motor vehicle (2) a method for mounting a set of lines in the body shell of a motor vehicle.
