<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that when passing air speed per unit area in relation to parallel electrode plates is increased in order that an electrostatic dust collector is made compact or the treating air volume is increased, wind pressure applied to the parallel electrode plates rises to break the parallel electrodes, and the precipitation performance is lowered due to generation of vibration. <P>SOLUTION: The electrostatic dust collector comprises: a charging part 2 charging the parallel electrode plates to apply high voltage to particles such as dust and mist in air and charge them; and a dust collection part 3 collecting the charged dust and mist etc., wherein electrode width spacers 14 with a length equivalent to the width of the electrode plates are disposed in parallel to the air flow direction, between discharge electrode plates (or high voltage side electrode plates) 12 of the parallel electrode plates and counter grounding electrode plates 11, thereby obtaining the electrostatic dust collector having sufficient strength against the passing air speed. Breakage of the parallel electrodes or vibration due to the wind pressure of high speed air are prevented, thereby obtaining an effect of preventing the lowering of the dust precipitation performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
