The invention relates to a circular saw comprising a support (1), a holding device (4) that is arranged on the support (1) and a sawing unit (5). An adjustable inclination control element (15) is arranged on the holding device (4) enabling said sawing unit (5) to be pivoted in an inclined manner in relation to the support (1) about a horizontally extending inclination axis (16) that can be pivoted in the direction of sawing. Said adjustable inclination control element (15) comprises a fixed part (24) and an inclination pivoting part (25). A fixed inclination stop (29) is arranged on at least one side of one of the parts (24, 25), said inclination stop corresponding to a frequently used inclination angle of the sawing unit (5). A counter stop (30) that is associated with the fixed angle stop (29) is arranged on the other part (24, 25). Said sawing unit (5) is at the desired inclination angle in relation to the bearing surface work piece (2) when the counter stop (30) is applied to the inclination stop (29). According to the invention, the inclination stop (29) comprises at least two marginally differently positioned stop surfaces (29a,b), the positions thereof defining the marginally different inclination angles of the sawing unit (5) and one element (32) of the inclination stop (29) is preferably adjustably mounted in a stepped manner such that the counter stop (30) only ever rests on exactly one of the stop surfaces (29a,b). |
