<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a multiple-precision arithmetic in an arithmetic processing circuit with connection restriction. <P>SOLUTION: A reconfigurable circuit 12 includes a plurality of ALU (a11, a12, through a16, a21, through a26, a31, through a36) arranged like a matrix in the direction of a row and the direction of a column. The output of the arithmetic operation by the ALU is configured so as to be restricted by the ALU located on the following row arranged in the same column and the ALU arranged in the right and left columns. A part of the ALU (for example, a25, a26) includes a carry output.
