PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of providing game characteristics easily understandable to a player and improving the ready-to-win state of the game machine so that jackpot symbols make look like to be increased by a nonconventional technique. SOLUTION: The game machine is equipped with a special symbol display device 53 wherein a significant symbol 87 of a character mode with prescribed meaning and a significant symbol 89 of a number mode are combined to configure a display symbol 85 with prescribed meaning and the display symbol moves on a screen and then stops to express the result of a game.
