<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curl straightening roller installed in electronicphotographic office automation equipment such as a copier, an image recorder, a printer and a facsimile machine, exerting good curl straightening effect to curled paper sheets and excelling in heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The curl straightening roller has an elastic body 21 on the outer periphery of a shaft 11 and reduces or eliminates the curl of the paper sheet by pressing the curled paper sheet against a roller harder than the elastic body 21 by means of the elastic body 21, wherein the elastic body 21 comprises an inner layer 31 of a foam provided on the outer periphery of the shaft 11 and an outer layer 41 of foamed silicone provided on a surface of the inner layer 31 and having a thickness of 0.5-3.0 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
