PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of smoothly performing a frameless print while excellently transporting matters to be printed. SOLUTION: The printing device comprises a transport mechanism 70 for transporting papers P that are sheet type matters to be printed one by one, and an inkjet head 22 for ejecting an ink to the papers P transported by the transport mechanism 70. The transport mechanism 70 is arranged in the transport direction of the papers P and has a plurality of transport belts 80 for transporting papers P. In the transport mechanism 70, an upstream side lateral relief groove 111 and a downstream side lateral relief groove 112 orthogonal to the transport direction of the papers P are formed in a part of a printing area of the inkjet head 22, and a part of the transport belts 80 are led into the upstream side lateral relief groove 111 and the downstream side lateral relief groove 112.
