PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fluid ejecting apparatus from fouling with fluid not adhering to a medium. SOLUTION: The fluid ejecting apparatus comprises: a nozzle for ejecting the fluid onto the medium; a rotating body which rotates with its circumferential surface facing to the nozzle and is provided with a holding region for holding the medium and a non-holding region with an opening formed therein, on its circumferential surface; and a recovering mechanism, for recovering the fluid not adhering to the medium, provided with a suction part for sucking the fluid into the rotating body from the opening and a housing part for housing the fluid sucked into the rotating body.
