PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stable image data reading by a low-cost configuration when image reading. SOLUTION: A frequency of a horizontal synchronous signal H for reading out one main scanning line is used as a unit to determine a duty ratio so as not to be extremely short relative to the horizontal synchronous signal H at a frequency which is two or more times the frequency of the horizontal synchronous signal H, thereby performing PWM control by an LED control circuit.
