PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic type compressor, in which the pressure resistance strength of a welding part of a power source terminal is increased. SOLUTION: This hermetic type compressor is provided with a hermetic vessel 100 having a barrel part 1, an upper end plate 2, and a lower end plate 3 welded and joined, a motor mechanism 6 disposed in a hermetic vessel 200, a compression mechanism 5 disposed in the hermetic vessel 100 and driven by the motor mechanism 6, a power source terminal 7 including a conductive pin 8a supplying the motor mechanism 6 with a power source. The conductive terminal 7 includes a disk part 7a on which the conductive pin 8a is connected, a skirt part 7b having an outer diameter larger than that of the disk part and welded and joined to the hermetic vessel 100 at an outer circumference surface, and a cylindrical cylinder part 12 connecting an upper surface of the disk part 7a and an upper surface of the skirt part 7b.
