The sheet is transported together into a constant shingle distance and is isolated with the help of separating suckers from the sheet stack. The isolated sheets (7) are conveyed to the transfer table through a transport sucker (6). A feed roller (14) is arranged in the transfer table for detecting the isolated sheets, and the sheets are passed in a sheet conveying direction through a path. The feed roller runs in single rotation manner.
