PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-processing device which quickly detects printing medium information and efficiently uses code images.

SOLUTION: The image-processing device is provided with: an image-reading part 21 which reads out images; a dot sequence-generating part 22 which generates a dot sequence from the images; a block-detecting part 23 which detects blocks on the dot sequence to generate a code sequence; a synchronous code-detecting part 24 which detects synchronous codes on the code sequence; an identification code-detecting part 30 which detects identification codes from the code sequence; and an X-coordinate code detecting part 40 and a Y-coordinate code detecting part 45 which detect coordinates codes from the code sequence. An X-coordinate code decoding part 42 and a Y-coordinate code decoding part 47 detect printing medium information from the coordinates information.
