<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing charge of AGVs (automated guided vehicles), which can be easily installed in a line and by which a main route and a charging route can be managed always to accommodate a fixed number of AGVs regardless of the number of the charged AGVs, without a delay in conveyance through the main route and without preventing smooth operation of the line. <P>SOLUTION: The method for managing charge of a plurality of battery-driven AGVs 1 which circulate through the main route MR having an automatic charge station 10 installed therein includes a first step in which the AGV 1 detects a battery voltage check marker 8a provided on the main route MR to measure the battery voltage of the AGV 1; a second step in which when the measured battery voltage is reduced to a level requiring charging, the AGV 1 is turned into the charging route installed in the automatic charge station 10 and stopped at a charging position to automatically charge the battery by an automatic charger 10; and a third step in which the automatically charged AGV 1 is conveyed to a standby place 14 in the automatic charge station 10, making the AGV wait thereat, and the battery-charged AGV 1 waiting at the standby place 14 is restored back to the main route MR. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
