PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device capable of performing desirable reset drive control. SOLUTION: This plasma display device has a display panel having a plurality of X, Y display electrodes and a plurality of address electrodes crossing the display electrodes, an electrode drive circuit which drives the X, Y display electrodes and the address electrodes, and a drive control circuit which controls the electrode drive circuit. The drive control circuit performs address drive control to selectively turn on a cell in each subfield, sustain drive control to generate sustain discharge to the turned-on cell, and reset drive control to apply a ramp waveform pulse voltage to the Y display electrode and reset electric charge on the electrodes. Furthermore, the drive control circuit performs reset drive control corresponding to the number of times of sustain electric discharge. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
