PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a business-use cooking appliance with which energy saving can be achieved more properly than ever. SOLUTION: This business-use cooking appliance, having heating arrangement which can heat a cooking medium such as cooking oil, a cooking heating plate, a cooking container and the like, and lid arrangement which is attached so that it can be opened and closed and is closed during a non-heating cooking period so that it stops heat dissipation from the cooking medium, includes a lid opening and closing data storing arrangement which stores the lid opening and closing data that determines whether the lid arrangement should be closed or not during a non-heating cooking period and a lid opening and closing notifying arrangement that notifies whether the lid arrangement should be closed or not during that period.
