PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure using a ball joint capable of being suspended from and supported by a sun visor. SOLUTION: This support structure includes a first bracket 18 attachable to a bottom face of an on-board instrument 1, an elongated support member 16 holdable of a ball portion 18b provided to a face of the first bracket 18, and a sun-visor stay 17 coupled to the support member and attachable to a sun visor of a vehicle. The support member is formed integrally with an annular attaching frame 21 at an end of a base portion 20 of substantially an elongated belt-shaped plate, and attached with a ball receiving portion 22 having a recessed portion 22a confirming to the shape of the ball portion inside the attaching frame. Thus, the ball joint is configured with the recessed portion and the ball portion, and the sun-visor stay is attached to the sun visor to suspend and support the on-board instrument.
