<p>A noncontact navigation device which achieves enhanced accuracy in detection of vehicle locations. A navigation device for guiding traveling of a vehicle while only receiving power source from the vehicle includes a velocity detecting coil section (1) to generate induced electromotive force En[V] exerted by vertical component force of total geomagnetic force at current location of the vehicle, a hard disk (DK2) to store the Geographical Survey Institute data for computation of the vertical component force, and a CPU (8) to compute the vertical component force Hon·tan(dn)[A/m] using the Geographical Survey Institute data, while detecting tilt angle ?Gn[degrees] of the vehicle based on the GPS positioning data. Further, the CPU (8) computes velocity of the vehicle on the basis of induced electromotive force En[V], vertical component force Hon·tan(dn)[A/m] and tilt angle ?Gn[degrees], and executes guiding of the vehicle using the computed velocity.</p> |
