PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing deterioration of quality of a printed image by preventing a foreign matter from adhering to an image printed on a sheet ejected onto a paper ejection tray, and to provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a foreign matter from adhering to a printed surface of an ejected sheet by sucking air on a paper ejection tray together with the foreign matter on the paper ejection tray just before the sheet is ejected onto the paper ejection tray. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, the sheet to which image forming processing has been performed is ejected to the paper ejection tray so that its printed surface may come into contact with the paper ejection tray when the sheet is ejected to the paper ejection tray.
