PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for a beverage having a handle capable of being surely held integrally with the container in the state of the handle being retracted. SOLUTION: Almost all of an arm part 19 and a grip part 21 of the handle 17 are arranged along the side face of the container body 3 in the downward retracted state of turning the handle 17 to the front side of the container body 3. A pair of left and right projections 56 and sunken parts 52 for placing the forefinger are provided on the base end sides 18, both upper ends of the handle 17, and holding faces 33A for the thumb 46 are provided on the front side faces of the projections 56 and holding faces 33B for the thumb pad 51 are provided on the lower front of the sunken parts 52. Since the places on which the forefinger, the thumb 46 and the thumb pad 51 are touched, are provided, the container body 3 can be secured certainly and properly together with the handle 17.
