PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod which is produced so as to have a stable decoration appearance shaped on its appearance. SOLUTION: A rod pipe 14 of the fishing rod has a coating layer 34 formed on the outside of a rod-like main body 32 in order to protect the main body and has a decorative part 20 on at least a part of the coating layer 34. On one part in between the outer circumference surface of the main body 32 and a first layer 34a which is a part of the coating layer 34 and is arranged just on the outside of the main body 32 or at one part between the coating layer (in between the first layer 34a and the second layer 34b or in between the second layer 34b and the third layer 34c), a solid member 36 having a hardness higher than that of the coating layer 34 is arranged, and the coating layer 34 arranged on the outside of the solid member 36 is ground to expose a part of the solid member 36 to the outside surface.
