The geometry has guide vanes which are attached to a periphery of a turbine wheel and are operable by a control ring which is supported at a pin (16) of the guide vanes, where the control ring is locked at the pin by a bayonet fitting. The control ring has radially running openings and guiding and supporting areas for the control ring that are formed at an inner periphery of the control ring. L-shaped openings in the control ring have a radial part, a peripheral part or an enlarged peripheral part and an assembly opening.
