<p>The method involves adjusting length of a suction manifold (5,10) in different operating areas in different manner. The multiple values for characteristic factors (ps,ml) are identified for determining the air charge in the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine (1) during the predetermined time or crank angle intervals, that an amplitude of the characteristic factor is determined from the identified values of the characteristic factor, by which the amplitude is compared with a predetermined threshold. An independent claim is included for a device for diagnosing an intake-manifold switching in an internal combustion engine.</p> |
