A device and a method for automatically selecting and playing music corresponding to physical information are provided to play the music with optimum beat stream by applying the variation of the heart rate and body temperature of the user while exercising and adding acceleration measurement. A device for automatically selecting and playing music corresponding to physical information comprises a heart rate measuring unit(2), a clinical thermometer(4), an acceleration measuring unit(6), and a music player. The heart rate measuring unit outputs heart rate data corresponding to the heart rate of the user. The clinical thermometer outputs temperature data corresponding to the body temperature. The acceleration measuring unit outputs acceleration data corresponding to the acceleration. The music player plays the music matching the result data including beat stream information. An operation unit(22) of the music player determines that the user is exercising when both the heart rate and the body temperature change, and recognizes the kinematic state of the user depending on whether the acceleration is measured.
