<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system having superior visual decorative features and capable of producing a fantasy-like space and quickly filling a room with aroma when illuminating, by using a long-lasting and power-thrifty light source typified by a light-emitting diode. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 1 comprises a system body 2 made up of an upper body part 3 and a lower body part 4; and a light-emitting means 9. The upper body part 3 is formed of a translucent resin into the shape of a dome and has an fragrance placing part 8 with a heating means 7. The lower body part 4 is integrally formed of the translucent resin to have a cylindrical outer wall part 4a decreasing in diameter from an upper portion toward a lower portion; a cylindrical inner wall part 4b, extending to the inside of the outer wall part 4a from a lower edge portion of the outer wall part 4a and decreasing in diameter going toward the upper portion; a circular bottom face part 4c that closes an upper-end opening of the inner wall part 4b; and a projection 4f projecting downward from a center portion of a bottom face 4e of a recess 4d enclosed with the inner wall part 4b and the bottom face part 4c.
