A closing unit closes the opening for emptying the container and locks the opening after emptying the container. A press device compresses waste of the container, and a puncture or cutting body pierces or cuts the waste. A crush body crushes waste in a waste collection facility before the waste is deposited in the container. A grinding device grinds the waste, which enters through an input opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for collecting waste.
