[Class 118 (i)] [Also in Groups XXVII and XXXVII] Certain of the buttons of a push-button permutation switch (see Group XXXVII) have spring contacts 21, Fig. 9, which, on unauthorized depression of the buttons, engage contacts 22 carried by the disc 9, thereby sounding the horn of a car. By depressing the buttons in the correct sequence, contacts 22 are moved sideways to break the circuit. In Fig. 12, the car bonnet 34 has an insulating extension normally separating contacts 28, 31 in the horn circuit, so that if the bonnet is lifted by an unauthorized person, the horn circuit is completed.</p> |
