<p>A die while extruding plastic material is subject to vibration to accelerate the flow. The vibrator may be electrical, electromagnetic or fluid-pressure and is mounted on the side of the die and the rate and amplitude of the vibrations is adjustable. A die is shown with two vibrators. The die is connected to the extrusion cylinder by a small spigot in order to isolate the rest of the apparatus from the vibration. Apparatus for extruding strips and tube is shown.</p> |
