An address standardization system and a method thereof for preventing the description of address data are provided to grasp the other address system corresponding to about one address system easily. A parsing unit(102) produces a unit address corresponding to the range of each regional division standards according to the range of the regional division standards. A database unit(105) includes a reference storing a standardization code and a unit code. An EC code generation area gives the EC code to each unit code. A sequential standardization unit(104) successively adds a unit code of the low address to the unit code of an upper address. The sequential standardization unit determines the error according to the absence of a unit code. The normalizing code in which the priority corresponds to the most high EC code is selected and the final code is replaced.
