The invention relates to the branch of powder metallurgy, namely - to the method of producing the composite boride material. A method of producing composite boride material includes molding by direct pressing a porous body from iron powders, adding to it a charge of impregnating alloy of eutectic composition from the mixture of the powders of iron, boron or boride compounds of MeBtype, where Me - metals, x=1-2, y=1-5 and alloying constituents, their joint pressing, heating the produced material for sintering the porous body, liquid-phase sintering at a temperature of 1413-1573 K during 90 minutes with impregnation by said alloy of the porous body, redistribution of the components between the body and the liquid phase by partial replacement of iron or boron in the boride compounds of eutectic alloy by alloying elements Mn, Co, Cr, Mo, W, V, Nb, Ta with ds-dselectronic configurations or Al, La - with spconfigurations, in the case the valence bond of self-bonding is matched between the components of boride compounds of FeB and FeB type and said alloying elements with formation of complex borides of (Fe,Me)B and (Fe,Me)B type, where Me – said alloying elements taking into account temperatures of their dissolution in said complex boride compounds, which are determined by extremes of exothermic reactions of formation of the compounds and, depending on the temperatures the beginning of liquid-phase sintering is set, which is completed after coating of exposed surfaces of the iron body of composite boride material with complex boride compounds within the range of temperatures 1523-1573 K with holding during 90 minutes. The invention provides for increase of physical chemical and mechanical properties of composite iron-based boride material. |
