A transmission/reception time point setting method and an apparatus thereof in a mobile communication system using an enhanced uplink packet data are provided to set up retransmission time by each E-DCH set when E-DCH(Enhanced Uplink) channel is set as a start point. A NodeB(201) recognizes the channel state of terminals using E-DCH and schedules the data transmission of each terminal. A terminal(204) positioned in a distant place in NodeB is allocated at low data rate. The terminal close to NodeB is allocated the high data rate.
