An embedded terminal and a method for performing an application program thereof are provided to reduce the time taken from a selection point of time to an execution point of time for an application program by pre-loading sub-programs for the execution based on the interworking with the application program before selection in an embedded terminal. A controller judges whether or not the execution of a specific sub-program is required with an executing application(613). In addition, the controller judges whether or not the corresponding sub-program is pre-loaded(615). If the sub-program is not pre-loaded, the controller loads the sub-program(617). The controller executes the sub-program by interworking with the application program.
