AERATION METHOD FOR A MEMBRANE BIOREACTOR

An aeration method of a membrane bioreactor is provided to reduce running cost by reducing backwashing or chemical cleaning frequency, and removing a bio-membrane efficiently in consideration of the structure property of the bio-membrane. An aeration method of a membrane bioreactor is formed to remove a bio-membrane which is formed on the surface of a separation membrane dipped in a bioreactor for water treatment. The method includes a step for increasing aeration intensity of the separation membrane which is near to a suction pump. The aeration intensity is increased according to a longitudinal direction of the separation membrane. The aeration is performed on a part which is neat the end of the suction pump according to the longitudinal direction of the separation membrane. The dipped separation membrane is a hollow fiber membrane or a tubular membrane.
