METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MICROWAVE OVEN

A control method of a microwave oven is provided to cook a cooking material automatically with suitable cooking time and suitable power by calculating relative sensor resistance value based on maximum sensor resistance value and sensor resistance value. A control method of a microwave oven comprises following steps. First cooking time is counted from the oscillation beginning of magnetron(210). The output voltage of a sensor is continually sensed in cooking and is converted into a sensor resistance value(220). The sensor resistance value initially converted is set up as a maximum sensor resistance value(225). The sensor resistance value is compared with the maximum sensor resistance value(235). In case the maximum sensor resistance value is over the current sensor resistance value, the relative sensor resistance value is calculated(245). Whether the relative sensor resistance value reach desired value or not is determined(250). The count of the first cooking time is stopped in case the relative sensor resistance value reaches the desired value. The second cooking time is produced by using the counted first cooking time(255).
