A latch needle is provided to prevent contamination by extending a tongue spring through a saw tooth-shaped slot, and to transfer pieces fiber remaining materials and materials peeled away. A latch needle(1) includes a needle main body supporting a needle tongue(5) movably. The needle tongue includes at least one or more spring element. The spring element is formed in a region of the needle tongue. The region is made of the same materials of the rest of the needle tongue. The region is connected with the needle tongue without a seam. The needle tongue has a bearing region(16) and a head(15).
