SUBWINDOW SCANNING METHOD IN A FACE DETECTOR

A subwindow scanning method in a face detector is provided to detect a facial region from the small amount of calculation. An image preprocessing unit(11) converts an input image into an HSV(Hue Saturation Value) system, and obtains a face color filter image in which an HS(Hue Saturation) value is extracted from an HS(Hue Saturation) value. The image preprocessing unit obtains a black and white image from a value, and a face detecting unit(12) sets up a subwindow of a size and position. The face detection unit detects the non-face of the corresponding subwindow region from the facial color filter image and black and white image.
