An acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is provided to relieve residual stress according to contraction or expansion of a polarizing plate and to improve light leakage caused by uneven distribution of residual stress. An acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises (A) an acrylic copolymer, (B) an optically anisotropic compound having one or more substituents containing an alkyl group, alkenyl group or alkynyl group at a meta position of mesogen, and (C) a low molecular weight material or a plasticizer which has average molecular weight of 1000-30,000. The acrylic copolymer comprises alkyl(meth)acrylic acid ester monomer 90-99.9 parts by weight wherein a carbon number of alkyl group is 1-14.
