<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set parameters for communication without connecting a setting device such as a personal computer to a wireless LAN transceiver through a LAN cable, in the wireless LAN transceiver. <P>SOLUTION: In addition to a wireless LAN module 32, the wireless LAN transceiver 30 is provided with an operation setting module 34 for setting parameters for communication, required by the wireless LAN module 32 for wireless communication, through external operation. The operation setting module 34 displays a selection menu of setting conditions, such as use (master/slave device, slave device number), a channel number, a group number, etc., on a display unit 46 and prompts a user to select the menus one after another through the operation unit 44, thereby automatically setting parameters for communication according to the setting conditions.
