PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an information processing method and a program, capable of appropriately diversifying a connection form with a computer at a transfer destination of scan data. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a reading means and an operation means, and the above problem is solved by providing the image forming apparatus with: a network communication means for controlling communication with a computer connected via a network; a USB communication means for controlling communication with a computer connected via a USB; a reading control means for waiting input to the operation means according to an acquisition request of the scan data received by the network communication means or the USB communication means, and making the reading means perform reading according to the input to the operation means; and a data transfer control means for making the network communication means or the USB communication means which receives the acquisition request perform transfer of the read scan data to the computer.
