The system (94) has two tensioners (102, 104) engaged with a drive belt (84), and a tensioner body (96) having two pistons (98, 100) that bias the tensioners toward the belt. The tensioners are pivotally mounted to a vehicle component and the body is fixed relative to the component such that linear translation of the pistons causes rotational movement of the tensioners. The pistons bias the tensioners towards the belt in two opposite directions respectively. The belt is coupled to a motor generator unit.
