The device has a pressure chamber comprising a low pressure steam with one pressure, and thermal compressor (1330) using the low pressure steam with another pressure (Pnd) as a drift medium. The thermal compressor increases the pressure of the drift medium expanded in the pressure chamber so that the steam is again supplied to the pressure chamber. An inductor device is arranged between a low-pressure steam supply device and the pressure chamber. A switching device is provided in a feed line for the drift medium from low pressure steam to high pressure steam. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying a heating group with vaporous medium.
