A starting apparatus for an automobile is provided to prevent an ignition key from rotating toward the starting direction by equipping with a restarting preventing unit restricting the rotation of a start shaft. A starting apparatus for an automobile comprises a start key box manipulated by a starting key, a start switch(2) connected to the start key box through a start shaft(4); and a restart preventing unit(10) restricting the rotation of a start shaft in order to prevent the restart after starting. The restart preventing unit comprises a connector(12) rotating with the start shaft; a stopper restricting the clockwise rotation of the connector when interfered with the connector; and a clutch allowing the stopper to be interfered with the connector in case of starting. |
