摘要 <p>It is intended to provide a surface foamed article which has a porous structure on the surface of a plastic base material, a biological implant and a method of producing the same. Namely, a surface foamed article made of a plastic material which comprises a solid part and small-diameter pores and large-diameter pores formed on the surface thereof, wherein some of these pores are open pores opening on the surface of the surface layer, the open pores comprise small-diameter open pores having an average open pore diameter of 5 µm or below and large-diameter open pores having an average open pore diameter of 10 to 200 µm, and the large-diameter open pores opening on the surface of the surface layer have continuous holes which are formed on the inner wall thereof and connected to the small-diameter pores and large-diameter pores; a biological implant which comprises the above-described surface foamed article per se or has a biologically active substance loaded on the surface layer of the above-described surface foamed article; and a method of producing the same that is an example of the method of producing the surface foamed article and the biological implant as described above.</p>
