In a CD changer (1), when sulfide gas the density of which is equal to or more than a previously set threshold is detected by a gas sensor (204), a microcomputer (201) allows a motor (20) to be operated by an initializing operation, a contact spring (114) of a switch (111) is allowed to slide, and consequently a sulfide film formed on the surfaces of the contact spring (114) and a fixed contact (117) can be rubbed off. Thus, the number of times of the generation of a defective contact operation can be reduced even in a region in which air is drastically polluted.
