摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an influenza vaccine effective through the intradermal route.

SOLUTION: A vaccine kit for intradermal delivery comprises a short-needle intradermal delivery device and a single-dose influenza vaccine. The short-needle intradermal delivery device has a skin-contact element that effectively limits penetration length of the needle into the dermis to about 1.5 mm. The single-dose influenza vaccine is produced using a trivalent, non-live influenza antigen preparation and induces protective immune response in human populations against three influenza virus strains.
